Eggs in the Freezer?

I have always been told that you cannot freeze eggs. Lo and behold.... ta da.... The Truth!

A - freaking - mazing.

Why didn't anyone tell me about this sooner? This information would have been useful when eggs were on sale at Fred Meyer last week for $0.97 a dozen. Had I known, I would have bought a LOT more than six dozen. I would have scrambled them and frozen them in ice cube trays, which would have equated to about 1 egg, and then popped them out and put them in freezer bags for up to a YEAR! Think of all the money I could have saved...

Also, good to know if/when we get chickens.
